API & MCP Documentation

How to use the Anjin Radar REST API and MCP server: authentication, limits, endpoints, connecting from Claude Code and Cursor, and error codes.

Last updated: 2026-09-28

The REST API and MCP server give you the AI tool rankings, revenue signals, keywords, trending search terms and backlink sources. They are available on the Captain plan and above.

Getting started

  1. Subscribe to the Captain plan on the pricing page.
  2. Create a key under Settings → API Keys (up to 5 keys).
  3. Send Authorization: Bearer <your API key> with every request.

You can copy a key again after creating it, but never share it. If a key leaks, delete it and create a new one. A deleted key stops working within 60 seconds.

Keys are not deleted when you downgrade or your subscription ends. Requests are rejected with 403 plan_required, and the same keys work again as soon as you are back on the Captain plan.

Limits

  • Monthly quota: 10,000 calls, reset each calendar month (UTC)
  • Rate limit: 10 requests per minute (one every 6 seconds on average)
  • Limits apply per user: every key on your account, and both REST and MCP, share them.
  • Only requests that return data count toward the quota. /api/v1/me, the MCP get_usage tool, listing MCP tools and requests rejected for invalid parameters do not.
  • The X-Quota-Limit / X-Quota-Remaining / X-Quota-Reset and X-RateLimit-Limit / X-RateLimit-Remaining / X-RateLimit-Reset response headers (resets in Unix seconds) show where you stand.

REST API

The base URL is https://anjinradar.com/api/v1.

curl -H "Authorization: Bearer sk_..." \
  "https://anjinradar.com/api/v1/tools?sort=mom&pageSize=10&locale=en"

Endpoints

  • GET /api/v1/tools — AI tools ranked by traffic growth
  • GET /api/v1/revenue — revenue signals from traffic to payment checkouts (a proxy for purchase intent, not actual revenue)
  • GET /api/v1/keywords — keywords that bring traffic to growing AI sites
  • GET /api/v1/trends — AI-related terms rising on Google Trends
  • GET /api/v1/backlinks — places where you can list your product for a backlink
  • GET /api/v1/{dataset}/facets — the filter codes (categories, types, payment providers, …) and counts for a dataset
  • GET /api/v1/me — your plan and this month's usage (does not count toward the quota)

Common parameters

  • page — page number, starting at 1
  • pageSize — rows per page (1–100, default 20)
  • search — substring match on domain, term or label
  • sort — ordering. tools: mom visits dr new rank; revenue: score checkout mom visits new rank; keywords: occurrences volume cpc difficulty new rank; trends: score heat appear rank; backlinks: occurrences dr visits organic rank (all also accept oldest)
  • filter — category code (search intent for keywords, trend shape for trends)
  • locale — ja, en or zh (default ja), the language of labels and descriptions

Dataset-specific parameters: siteType for tools; provider and flag (new / ai) for revenue; difficulty for keywords; cls and appear (7d 14d 30d older) for trends; flag for backlinks (comma-separated dofollow paid free anonymous). Look up valid codes with /facets. Unknown parameters and out-of-range values return 400.

Response

{
  "dataset": "tools",
  "locale": "en",
  "page": 1,
  "pageSize": 10,
  "total": 2918,
  "updatedAt": "2026-09-27",
  "items": [{ "domain": "example.ai", "visits": 1200000, "visitsMom": 42.5 }]
}

Growth rates such as visitsMom are percentages (42.5 means +42.5%).

MCP

The endpoint is https://anjinradar.com/api/mcp (Streamable HTTP). Any MCP client that lets you set custom headers can connect, including Claude Code and Cursor.

Claude Code:

claude mcp add --transport http anjinradar https://anjinradar.com/api/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer sk_..."

Cursor (~/.cursor/mcp.json):

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "anjinradar": {
      "url": "https://anjinradar.com/api/mcp",
      "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer sk_..." }
    }
  }
}

Tools

  • list_ai_tools — AI tools ranked by traffic growth
  • list_revenue_sites — revenue signals from payment checkout traffic
  • list_keywords — keywords of growing AI sites
  • list_trends — rising search terms (pass includeSeries: true for the daily interest series)
  • list_backlinks — backlink sources
  • get_facets — filter codes for each dataset
  • get_usage — your plan and this month's usage (does not count toward the quota)

To save your agent's context, MCP results return 10 rows by default and leave out fields that are only used for display on the site.
